The Navy says that 35 Navy relief teams have been kept ready to provide relief to the affected people in the event of a flood risk due to the heavy rains that have affected the island.
Accordingly, 26 relief teams have been prepared to cover the areas of Kalutara, Ratnapura and Colombo.
The Navy stated that 09 relief teams have been kept ready to cover Galle, Tangalle and Hambantota areas.
The Navy stated that the relief teams have been placed in coordination with the Disaster Management Center as needed and kept ready to provide immediate relief to the people.
