350 Cipetco filling stations run out of fuel this month !

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has not taken action to supply fuel to 350 Cipetco filling stations that were supposed to supply fuel in April. Its Chairman Shantha de Silva addressing a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday stated that although there is a shortage of fuel at many filling stations islandwide due to the protests which are blocking the roads, there is a shortage of fuel in the warehouse terminal for the next few days. He said that with the distribution of fuel, the existing fuel shortage at filling stations will be eliminated in the next three days. Our news team stated that there were long queues at many petrol stations island wide until last night. Meanwhile, the new Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera visited the Kolonnawa Oil Distribution Terminal yesterday to inspect the activities of the Kolonnawa Oil Distribution Terminal. Five carried out the fuel transport, and in the next few days there will be a 24-hour delivery to restore the fuel supply.
