The Minister of Health Prof. Channa Jayasumana stated that he was instructed to review the notification made that wearing masks is not mandatory in public places. Speaking in Parliament yesterday, he said a 15-member expert committee had advised on the relaxation and had directed the Director General of Health Services to inquire into the matter again.
