The World Health Organization has given Sri Lanka a stock of test kits to detect monkeypox virus.
Dr. Anwar Handrani, the co-ordinator of the Ministry of Health, said that the test kits were given to Borella Medical Research Institute and Kandy Teaching Hospital.
If necessary, the test kits can be used to diagnose a patient.
