Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekuluwala was ordered to refer social activist Pathum Kerner for an identification parade.
When this complaint was called today, Mr. Rienzi Arsakularatne, who appeared for Pathum Karner, raised a protest and pointed out that there is no legal basis for holding the parade because his client’s photos have been published in newspapers and electronic media.
However, the Additional Magistrate rejected the objection and ordered to send the suspect for the identification parade.
Accordingly, the parade is scheduled to be held.
