A dead body of a male person has been found on the beach near the Wellawatta Coast Guard Camp.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been identified.
The body was found this morning, based on a tip-off received by the Wellawatta police.
Police said that no injuries were observed on the body of the deceased, aged between 35 and 40 years.
