Four suspects in the murder of Polonnaruwa District Parliamentarian Amarakeerthi Athukorala have been arrested by the CID today (25) during the riots that took place across the country on the 9th. Violence erupted across the country on the 9th after Rajapaksa government supporters attacked protesters in front of Temple Trees and Galle Face. Both the parliamentarian and his bodyguard were killed in the incident that took place in Nittambuwa.
