The Mason Bass, who had come from Chilaw to repair the official residence of the Bishop of Mannar, has been confirmed to be infected with the new corona virus today, the National Action Center for the Prevention of the spread of Kovid 19 announced.
Due to this, all persons in the Mannar Bishop’s official residence are to be subjected to a PCR test and after that examination, steps have been taken to subject them to self-quarantine.
Health officials in the area said they had taken steps to conduct PCR tests on 32 people at the bishop’s official residence.
