Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Diana Gamage who voted in favour of the 20th Amendment to the Constitution will be subject to a disciplinary inquiry, Party Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara said.
Earlier today, the SJB announced that disciplinary procedures will follow on the party members who cast their vote in favour of the 20A, upon receiving information that a group of MPs, including Gamage, elected to Parliament through SJB was in preparation to favour the controversial constitutional amendment.
Gamage was elected to Parliament in her debut appearance as a MP through the SJB national list. She also serves as the deputy secretary of the SJB.
Information received earlier disclosed that she was about to be granted a state ministry upon her loyalty to the Ruling Party.
