An earthquake has been reported in the Pallekele area in Kandy. The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau stated that this incident was reported today (02) at around 07.06 am.
The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said that the quake was also recorded on the Mahakanadarawa seismometer and it has not yet been confirmed whether it was an earthquake or some other cause.
A few days ago it was reported that there was an earthquake in several areas including Pallekele in Kandy.
