The Public Utilities Commission states that there will be no power cuts island wide from today (13) to the 15th. The commission also said it planned to reduce power cuts next weekend. The CEB has so far received the fuel required for power generation and hydropower generation has also increased to some extent. The Public Utilities Commission stated that a 2 hour and 15 minute power cut is planned on the 16th and 17th due to the prevailing situation. Janaka Ratnayake, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission stated that there are plans to reduce the power cuts gradually from the 18th.
