First Reading of Appropriation Bill for 2023 presented

The First Reading of the Appropriation Bill for 2023 was presented to the House yesterday (18).

Rs. 274,954,262,000 has been allocated for recurrent expenditure for the Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies Ministry. Rs. 360,000,000,000 has been allocated for the Defence Ministry as recurrent expenditure.

A sum of Rs.266,999, 998,000 has been allotted for the Health Ministry as recurrent expenditure. A sum of Rs.81, 000, 000,000 has been allotted for the Ministry of Agriculture as recurrent expenditure and Rs.34,000,000,000 as capital expenditure. A sum of Rs.1,000, 000, 000 has been allotted for the Ministry of Power and Energy as recurrent expenditure and Rs.36,200, 000, 000 for capital expenditure.

A sum of Rs.184,000,000,000 has been allotted for the Ministry of Education as per recurrent expenditure whileRs. 48,000, 000, 000 allotted as capital expenditure.
