A discussion between the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and President Ranil Wickremesinghe on the formation of an all-party government is scheduled to be held today (4).

That is at the President’s office.

Meanwhile, several parties, including the Tamil National Alliance, met and discussed the formation of an all-party government yesterday.

They have presented the facts at length, and President Ranil Wickremesinghe has informed the group of MPs about the 22nd Constitutional Amendment and the Interim Budget.

The President also met with the New Lanka Freedom Party led by MP Kumara Welgama and the Vijayadharani National Assembly including Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thero.

It is said that attention was also paid to the matters mentioned in the policy statement presented by the President.

Meanwhile, the leader of National People’s Force, Member of Parliament Anura Kumara Dissanayake said yesterday that he will not support an all-party government.

However, opposition leader Sajith Premadasa sent a letter to the President and informed that he is ready to negotiate for an all-party program.
