PCR tests of the two students at St Joseph’s and St Bridget’s NEGATIVE for covid-19 infection

PCR tests have confirmed that the student of St. Bridget’s Convent in Colombo and her brother, a student studying at St. Joseph’s College, Maradana, were not infected with Covid. They were subjected to PCR tests since their father had been tested positive for coronavirus.

Father Gemunu Dias, General Manager of National Private Catholic Schools told the Hiru news team that this was revealed after PCR tests were carried out.

After the father of the student at St. Bridget’s Convent in Colombo was diagnosed with coronavirus infection, the school issued a statement stating that student and her family members will be subject to PCR tests.

Also, the student ‘s brother who is at St. Joseph’s College, Maradana and his friends were also subject to PCR tests yesterday (08).

PCR test results of both students have been negative for covid-19.
