It is reported that the brother of the suspect who was arrested with 23 kilos of heroin in the Sapugaskanda area has information that the officer of the Colombo Crimes Division had been involved in the smuggling of heroin in the past as well.
He was attached to the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Colombo Crimes Division.
It has also been reported that the officer had transported one kilogram of heroin packets on several occasions.
