SLC in talks to conduct T10 League after LPL

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) is planning to host a T10 tournament involving national and overseas players after the conclusion of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) which is scheduled from 14 November to 07 December, a source close to SLC revealed to

“We are in talks to conduct the T10 tournament after the conclusion of the LPL by including foreign players along with our national and domestic players,” the source added.

It is noteworthy that Sri Lanka is among the least-affected countries in the world from the deadly virus. SLC has already successfully organised the Major League Tier ‘A’ domestic tournament, and the country is considered a safe place to play international cricket.

The LPL was originally scheduled for August. However, the health authorities who had insisted on following a 14-day quarantine period forced SLC to reschedule it to November-December.
