The heads of SriLankan Airlines were summoned to appear before the Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) but did not appear before the committee yesterday (20).

SriLankan Airlines chiefs have asked the COPE committee to give them another date, saying they could not appear before the committee yesterday due to an emergency.

Accordingly, the COPE Committee has informed the heads of SriLankan Airlines to appear before it on Monday the 25th.

He further stated that an investigation will be conducted and a report will be submitted to Parliament.
