The Colombo Magistrate’s Court ordered that the complaint filed against four defendants, including former minister Namal Rajapaksa, be recalled on December 8 for investing 15 million rupees illegally earned as a member of parliament.
This complaint was called before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Nandana Amarasinghe today.
The Criminal Investigation Department informed the court that the investigations related to this incident have been completed and the investigation reports have been submitted to the Attorney General. Accordingly, the police informed the court that they are awaiting the advice of the Attorney General regarding the next steps to be taken in relation to this complaint.
