Kahathuduwa police said that the six-year-old daughter who was being treated after being burnt in a fire that broke out in a house in Homagama, Magammana on the 25th died yesterday (03).

A girl named Ritushi Ranasinghe died here at Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital in Borella.

The father of the family died on the same day (25) and the mother died the next day (26) due to being caught in the fire. The eldest daughter died on the 28th, when the last rites of the mother and father were performed.

As a result, the mother, father and daughters of the family lost their lives.

The police say that they believe that petrol was poured in a room of the house and the fire started due to that.

Kahathuduwa Police are conducting further investigations regarding this incident.
