The Supreme Court ordered the extension of the order imposed on the former Finance Ministers Mahinda Rajapaksa and Basil Rajapaksa from going abroad without the permission of the court until September 5th.
The order was issued by the five-member Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya after considering two basic rights petitions that had been filed today asking the government to issue an order to conduct an investigation against the people responsible for the current economic crisis.
